Operation Ferdinand
Operation Ferdinand was a military deception plan employed by the allies during the Second World War. It was formed as part of many other failed operations and was intended to confuse and misdirect German High command about invasion plans during 1944. Planned by Eugene Sweeney Operation Ferdinand was planned in June and July of 1944 and operated until early September. It had been described as one of the most successful strategic deceptions of all time.
